He's just like every other man I know when they were approaching fatherhood, my husband included; they all doubt themselves and think they will never be able to be an adequate, much less a good, father. Luna is right, he was always a father to his Slytherins. He stood in loco parentis to them and all of his other students and he took that responsibility seriously, especially after he became headmaster. No one else would have risked so much to protect them.

He will definitely be a good father to his new sons and to any other children that may come along later.

It's fun to think about Severus with a big family of his own, and I think he'll make a great father, too. :)

I love this! True to her nature, Luna is so insightful and speaks truth, yet always gentle and accepting. Severus is out of his element, yet not a coward. The family of four will be just fine. Thanks for sharing this!

Severus is lovingly portrayed and lovingly set at his ease, too. Somehow, I have a feeling that Severus may not get his wish and that years from now instead of his Slytherins being told about Arthur Weasley, they'll be getting told about him.
