Loved this. I love the pacing and the intellect. I just love how you show how they have each grown into themselves (and out of certain types of constriction and pain) over time. The concept and use of lacunae are fabulous -- psychologically astute (as it the cure). Your use of language is also wonderful. Brava!

so that explains where four of my five tweezers have gone! And that thing I was looking for yesterday though I can't remember what it was I was looking for. And all those missing socks and pennies and those five books which I swear I had in my collection but can not find anymore, all of that and more have been claimed by the Lacunae! Begone you beasties!
