Oooh! I really liked this chapter (like I DON'T ever enjoy them :P)! I've always wondered what Dresden's side of the soulgaze looked like; Jim Butcher has always been secretive about it. Nice to finally get a glimpse! I do wonder what Dean saw, though. Can't wait for the next chapter!

So glad you enjoyed the chapter and I'm always so happy to hear from you. You make such great observations. I don't know if I did a very good job on the soulgaze part. I reread a few of them from the books and he says that people always act weird after they look into his soul, but he didn't give any other hints as far as I could find. I didn't really know what to do there. So I'm glad you found that bit at least not completely out in left field. Plus, I think he said once that different people see different things so I tried to go with that idea and have Sam see the fairly nice part of his brain and Dean, not so much, just because of their different personalities. Okay, well enough of that.

Anyway, thanks for reviewing as always and hopefully I'll be able to get the next chapter up sooner when the actual work of tracking down these demons starts!

*hugs* Thankees! It sounds like you put a lot into the soulgaze bit, and it really shows. I had forgotten about Harry saying that about soulgazes. It makes sense, though. And even though I don't watch Supernatural (I keep meaning to find season one, but I never seem to find the time), it makes sense how you wrote their part of it.

And yeah, that would be nice, but take your time. RL is RL, and sometimes these things take a little while to do

I can't believe you are muddling through this story without having watched Supernatural! Boy, that's great! I'm glad you're still enjoying it. I wasn't too sure about SPN when I first saw 1 episode a while back, but then I started reading some really excellent fanfic and decided to give it another try and it is really a great series. I highly recommend it. It's funny, scary, well-written, and, of course, the boys are mighty nice to look at as well. I ordered the entire first and second season through Netflix, so if you have a subscription like that, it might be worth checking to see if they have them available.

Oooh very nice, I like how you worked the soul gaze into the story. It would be a very effective way to convince Karrin that the boys were good guys. I am really curious as to what Dean saw now. lol

I'm glad the soulgaze worked for you. I started writing a lot of explanation but decided we had really better get to the actual meat of the story before people started falling asleep when they saw my name on their flist. This took care of the problem quickly and efficiently and it was really fun to write. Thanks as always for reviewing.

Thank you for the review. I seem to be posting every other week now, despite trying to speed things up a bit. That's mainly because of my work schedule. Anyway, that means that the chapter should get written this weekend, although Easter will put a bit of a damper on my usual Sunday writing frenzy. Hopefully on Monday there will be a lovely new chapter to enjoy. Thank you for taking time to comment!

"Sam grabbed both her hands in one of his to keep her from pushing him any more. "There’s a reasonable explanation for that, Karrin."

"Well, we’ll see about reasonable!" which made no sense to Sam, but at least she had stopped hitting him and she looked a little calmer. He let her hands go and she didn’t start hitting him again, so Sam took that as a good sign. "Where’s Harry?"

Seriously?! If Murphy was 'hitting' Sam, he'd be down for the count. The gal is an 'nth degree black belt in more than one form of martial arts and this is as out of character as she could be without having her say "Oh, you brute" as well. You might consider re-writing this bit, unless you want to be extremely OOC.
