Prompt table
Because I have nothing else to do with myself (yeah, that's me, being sarcastic), I decided I would try one of these challenge tables and to make it even more fun, I'm going to do it in a fandom I've never written in before, and just because I didn't think that would be challenging enough, I am going to do them mainly as crossovers. Be scared, be truly scared.
No, seriously, I have wanted to write a full-length Harry Dresden/Harry Potter crossover novel for a while now and am working at it by rereading all the Dresden books and finalizing the plot. Combining their magical worlds is going to be a challenge, but I really do feel like I've got a grip on that.
It dawned on me, however, that the worlds of Supernatural and Harry Dresden combine a lot more easily -- but where is the challenge?! No, honestly, I debated that, too, but the idea of the two Harry's just couldn't be denied, so wait for that in the near future, after the beginning of the new year, I think.
But, in the meantime, to get me used to writing Dresden (as I never have before) these little fics will be Supernatural/Dresden crossovers and I think they will be a lot of fun. I'm not promising to post very often, but I'll try to get one in every other week or so. We'll see, I guess.
Here's the table I picked. I think the prompts fit very well with both fandoms, so I think it won't be too big of a stretch. Oh, for those in the know, my Harry will be from the books exclusively. The TV show is good, as far as it goes, but its universe is too far away from the novels.
