Don't get why Kenzie didn't write her own lyrics for Oscar. She wouldn't have gone as dumb as 'twinkle twinkle up in the sky'. Remember the first rumours about her doing the single, as an empowering thing? That's what got me excited, the potential for an absurdist anthem like 'One More Chance'.

Ahahaha, you have this really menacing track, and then you reach the chorus and wtf are these twinkle stars doing here in mah menacing dance track?
Probably SM thinking Oscar was too menacing for SNSD (with "Wake Up" having pushed things a bit too far) and tried some damage control with the lyrics so that fans get their awesome Remee/Troelsen number, but without any dangerous lyrics ban potential. Plus, they're probably still pointing to Girls On Top as a reason not to do anthems anymore. :(

Was Girls On Top a flop?

Here are the sales numbers. The next Korean album was Hurricane Venus.

Do you think the rest of the girls make fun of Tiffany for writing such horrible lyrics?

I hope so. First, just because SNSD likes to troll like that, what with how merciless they were on Yuri forgetting her own lyrics, XD but how someone like Tiffany comes up with "get it in" as a lyric to be sung in ANY SNSD song raises some questions about either her lyric writing abilities or just her character in general. I still kind of twitch every time I hear "I wanna dance right now." So, so far from the Hollaback Girl flow.

...but rather, it should be, "Has this been used to its full potential?"
A similar topic came up in class earlier this week, actually, how it's damn near impossible to make anything completely original now, how things get a second life/reinvigorated by being taken out of context, in being added to, etc. It made me immediately think of fanworks, fanfiction and remixes especially.

There was something else I was going to say ... but I've forgotten it now ^^;

The entire concept of mashups and sampling definitely proves this. Hell, covers and remakes prove this, as TMYW definitely has a different tone from I Just Wanna Dance, as I analysed before. Hell, Jimi Hendrix's highest US charting single is a Bob Dylan cover.
