I knew about the rockin' Taeyeon RDR intro,(which isn't in the broadcast version?) but no one told me Japan concert Hoot included this epic metal remix!?

Whoa, that is pretty epic! Shiiiiit, that guitar solo at the end!!! (Though, I do agree, why the heck did they put in Beethoven's 9th in there???)

BEG would be a concert I'd go to in an f-ing heartbeat, holy crap. It would be amazery *_______*

I've always maintained that their voices would fit really well with rock. People like Sooyoung and Sunny could shine more than usual, Taeyeon would obviously kill (in addition to clearly wanting to show more of that on this tour there's her rock opera leanings on Wake Up) - Tiffany's huskiness could be exploited.

Don't see it coming anytime soon, unfortunately. Here's hoping they do some covers on a show with live band.

It would be tricky, because certain styles of rock call for more "grit" to the singing than the girls may be willing to risk. I'm not sure what you mean by SooSun getting the chance to shine more, since they aren't belters. I guess they could take higher-pitched verse/prechorus/middle 8 work when it calls for that haunting quality? Jessica and Seohyun would need to let loose with their voices, as well. Unless you're talking more about pop rock a la Himnae?

Well mostly that SunSoo have shined whenever they're doing a rock-ish thing, like the rock version of Gee, the live version of Himnae, yes. The song itself may be watered-down but I think it brought forth a different timbre in some of the girls' voices (when performed live).
