I wonder if your reading of SeoHyun isn't a bit harsh here. That is to say, SeoHyun's burden is doubled in this article. She is a Korean representative due to being a public figure who is part of a movement to monetize a form of entertainment that has been folded into, what shall we call it?, a "cultural argument"? My first thoughts in response were basically the caveats.
My second thoughts are similar to grey's in that sometimes I do "otherize" myself depending on the people I'm with. I compare and contrast everything, which includes with myself, and more often than not contrast is the majority.
