OMG metal remix/covers XDDDD

So I was looking for remixes for Mr. Taxi, but so far I haven't found anything super interesting. Well, there's this house remix that's really chill - makes me want SNSD to go on that one show (LaLaLa?) where they did the ultra cool version of Sorry Sorry and do a remix like that for Mr. Taxi. (Though, Areia is working on a remix that sounds like ( Read more... )

*crack, *remix, song: mr. taxi, song: run devil run

I've been complacent with the remixes lately -- I have so many already in the library and no player to jam to them on the street with. :(

That house remix sounds real promising though. And looking on the related videos there's a whole slew of mashups of Mr. Taxi and Telephone. XDDD

Metal RDR reminds of the missed awesomeness of the teaser guitars. :( Although apparently they were used for KYHD later?
Omg, but the triplet rhythm works perfectly for rock since it is derived from blues, which can be triplet based. The basic rhythm guitar pattern they use in the verse there is even a classic blues riff.

Not SNSD, but dude, have you seen Lee Sora's cover of BoA's No 1??!?!? Pretty darn cool 8D

The mashups of Mr. Taxi and Telephone are kinda half-assed - I want a proper mash-up!!

And yup, the teaser RDR guitars were for KYHD :/ Girls can have cool guitar too! It would be awesome if they did a rock version of RDR XDDDD

See, this is why it's such a shame SNSD doesn't go on these "acoustic cover" shows anymore. Then they could do rock remixes or jazz remixes or whatever. Boa's live Romance perf was amaaaaaaaaazing.
Interesting that they turned it into a minor-key cover, since the original is meant to be uplifting! This one sounds like some sort of angry "You hurt me, but I'm gonna be fine to spite you" song. XD
Also No. 1 has kind of been forever "ruined" for me because I can't not hear ITNW over it thanks to the Masa mashup. XD

The problem is that SNSD doesn't release instrumentals for their songs so extracting vocals is a pain in the ass unless you have really swanky technology.

IKR!? Rock is so dead in mainstream Kpop, and I don't know why. You can still dance to it, as Jpop shows. It doesn't even need to be proper rock, as lots of Jpop has random guitar even when it's still properly pop.

Oldschool 80s style, with a little bit of dirty synth work in the interlude under a clean countermelody. <3
His Gee remix is also groovy-rhythm based.

Ah, I did run across that remix and it was the most decent I'd seen - I simply wanted more of a build. But I hadn't realized I had been listening to it so much until I listened to the original Mr. Taxi track and was like, "Wait, where's the synth?" XD

Want moar remixes!!!!!
