Because I need to maintain my reputation as the one who posts the none-SNSD stuff here that no one cares about. Or that thing that someone mentioned a passing interest in, therefore mildly justifying my pimping urges.
I may not have much to say about the Japanese idol industry, but I'll stan intensely for Perfume and have done so since before I knew who SNSD were. I LOVE Voice the song as well, not just as a video (but I'm a big fan of their new trend of creative in-camera visual effects*,) so they've got two of my favorite singles of the year. They've done a lot of singles without an album now, though, do you know anything about their next move there? They could've made a killer one with all these classic singles.
*Actually that last bit of 'Voice' looks a bit risky. Is it fake?!
Perfume's music output is all dependent on Nakata, who is not only is working for Capsule but is also producing MEG(wait nvm MEG is leaving the music scene), Suzuki Ami, and various groups under contemode. He also produces and remixes various artists here and there as a DJ. Which means he doesn't have that much time for Perfume. However, Perfume's next single is scheduled to drop in early November. Besides, Triangle had four singles on it (through One Room Disco) so another album isn't due until at least after Nee. I'm more of a Capsule fan(love the More!More!More! album) because they cover a wider range of styles, but at this point I just kind of lump all Nakata groups together.
Voice got HORRIBLY stuck in my brain last night and this morning.
That last bit of Voice is a classic gag. I've seen it done many times in old films, including by Lucille Ball and Buster Keaton. Can't find the clips right now though. :(
