I agree. But....Unfortunately and sadly, this is what an idol life entails, especially under SME :/ But if the economy gets better and SME profits gets better, the girls and other artists will have more rest time.

We might as well just start speculating on the fall mini-album.

Hmm, I remember how the last report on SM's earnings were that they were in debt despite SNSD and DBSK. (Don't remember when exactly this was but it was probably pre-Genie). And I don't think Shinee's had a true Gee/Sorry Sorry equivalent to really propel them to top-tier status, so there's still room for growth there. Shinee and f(x) seem to have been oddly held back as opposed to this relative time period in SNSD's debut, when they were getting tons of CF deals with other boybands and had a couple TV shows under their belts already.(GGTS, MTV) f(x) in particular has been slow on the variety show appearances, and Minho seems to be the only member that gets consistently shilled out for Shinee. Hopefully an increase in activity for them will help get SNSD more rest time. Suju on the other hand has been tons of solo-activities for some members while others seem to be in limbo. (Kyuhyun, Donghae, Ryeowook?) Although ALL of Suju doing solo activities might actually cost more for all of the van rentals. XD ( ... )

I do agree with you on how SM is dealing with f(x) and Shinee in variety shows. Yeah, you see Shinee here and there but nothing like Suju or SNSD. And especially f(x), they are like seen nowhere compared to their SM seniors. I read somewhere that SM made Suju a larger membered group b/c they wanted them to take over variety jobs/solo jobs(plus some other factors) and SNSD was made the same way. And SM's smaller numbered groups stick to singing and dancing and then some variety shows to promote, just like DBSK, CSJH, and solo artists. But, SM would happily take up an offer to those who are wanted to be a permanent guesting/member e.g. Minho, Sulli, and Krystal.

If the title of the album is Hey Mickey...I will cry ;~;
But I heard that they are going for another sexy/mature concept again. Hmmm.

That is interesting that they have groups geared towards performance vs. groups geared for the variety circuit. It would explain why I get more a YG feel out of Shinee and f(x), especially from their recent releases. DBSK was really that performance-oriented?

If the title track is Hey Mickey I'll go back to my Jpop fandom and stay there for a while sulking. Or watch Hello f(x). XD
Well, they've tackled the military fetish, the "oppa~!" fetish and dismissive bitch fetish. And Kara's already stolen the catgirl fetish. I'm thinking Everybody ought to have a So Nyuh.

From what I know, DBSK went on variety shows like Shinee and f(x) are slowly doing, but I've never really seen any permanent jobs or mc-ing or djing from DBSK. All I know is that they went on the big variety shows e.g., XMan, Loveletter, Star King, etc. But those were only like DBSK specials or a few episode aired with them on, but that's it. And from my stand point, Shinee and f(x) are going down the same path. But, it could all change b/c having a permanent variety show spot says that you are the it person so to say.

SNSD as sexy house maids for the next concept? Kinda want to see how that plays out XD
