So, Bonamana as an album did not go down well at all, with only about 2 tracks worth anything.

In contrast, I quite like this one! It's more shamelessly retro than Boa's latest, but nonetheless, it seems to only have 2 ballads, and everything else nice and upbeat!

Devil's tapped into that Happy beat. I have no complaints.

Bonamana the song, however, is their best and k/pop GOAT material.

Devil is a Kenzie joint! With some co-writers.

Yeah, out of all of their A-sides in that mold, Bonamana best takes advantage of its percussive basis, thanks to Yoo Young Jin. (For whatever reason, I rather like Mr. Simple, as well)

Remind me, where are you currently getting your Kpop credits?
This sounds rather like a European/American demo was brought in, and Kenzie just added a few polishes, the way Genie, Red Light, or apparently Mr. Mr. had added sections by SM composers, but the base song mostly stays the same.

This official copyright site is sometimes slow to update and a little hard to search with http://www.komca.or.kr/eng/eng_wos/wos_contents_01_sch03.jsp... )

Thanks for the tip! Wikipedia is usually sufficient for the older stuff, but Devil's fresh off of the presses.

SM A-sides seem like they tend to be demo-based, though, unless the foreign teams also shop around the results after the workshops, with SM's blessings.
At any rate, Devil seems absent of any notable Kenzie influence, beyond its strong melodies. (It's like if Kenzie originals were most of Momoclo's discography, Devil would be Roudou Sanka)
