I would have to be thankful for this tumblr simply for it enlightening me as to the existence of
this picture of Key. But it gets even better.

- I still like hanging out with other lesbian fans (and sometimes being a terrible, objectifying hound dog with said other fans. Women. They'll drive you crazy).
- My invitation to talk and hang out and chat fandoms is still (and hopefully always) open.
- I'm still being my homo self over in my own journal, even if I've waned with the drooling over SNSD. (Sorry, SNSD! When you give me an MV like this, maybe we can renogotiate!)
- I'm always looking for lesbian fandom recommendations!

Yuru Yuri was pretty funny (with a couple huge laugh moments) once it found its rhythm, but otherwise not that extraordinary in execution. If you like that kind of cute fluff slice-of-life show a la Azumanga, you'll enjoy it. Its cultural implications are pretty fascinating, though, as I wrote above.
I linked this on G+ a while back. Unfortunately, it's ended, and it's short, but it's still a good watch.
Have you drooled over Johanssen's Black Widow yet? Fuck she was amazingly written in the movie.

Related, I found this quote by Charlize Theron fascinating:
“It’s so bizarre to me because, I work with a lot of men and then I do these press tours with them and nobody ever looks at Chris Hemsworth and goes, ‘Wow, you play such a strong guy in Thor!’ Nobody does that, you know what I mean? But when we are conflicted and we play characters that find themselves in circumstances where we have to to find our strength or just something in order to survive, like all of a sudden we are such strong women.”

Yuru Yuri didn't impress me much in the beginning. I found it somewhat boring and only watched it because Kyoko made me laugh. Before writing this comment I actually thought I didn't finish it until I went and checked my MyAnimeList. I guess it didn't make an impression (or I just have a terrible memory) XD

Yeah, the cultural implications of YuruYuri are more grand than the show itself, which is complete fluff. But it did elicit some out-loud laughing from me, so it's more successful at comedy than most of the light-hearted anime I've watched in the past year.
