I'm off to go look at a car tomorrow, ahhhhh I've never even bought a car in America before, I don't know ANYTHING AT ALL ABOUT CARS, what to do what to do. Ahhhhhhhhhhh
( Read more... )
Agh I hear you, buying a car is a scary big deal. Are you taking someone with you or anything? I'm sure you've probably already talked to people about it.
I see IU has a new CD out! I need to hunt that out. Man alive, though, in the time I wasn't listening to kpop it seems like there's about 20 new groups. Yay for SNSD being on American talk shows though, that was pretty cool to see - even if the song they chose wasn't that interesting?!
Yeah, one of my Korean friends is going with me... mostly I've just been researching stuff online, so I think I have a good idea of price and condition and stuff for the type of car I want/my budget, but I haven't actually looked at anything in person or test driven anything or EVEN ONCE DRIVEN A CAR IN THIS COUNTRY AHHHH WHAT AM I DOING AHHHHH. Ummm anyway, I'll let you know how it goes

Eek! I'm sure it'll be fiiiine. Are the roads ok to drive on over there? They're crazy in Saudi, wow. I can't drive there, being a lady and all, but my gosh I would never want to. (I have family living there now.)
Ooh, I would love a d/l link to new IU stuff if you know where one is to be found? *mourns MU's demise*
It's just...I don't know where to start with checking out new stuff! I struck the same problem when I first started listening to kpop but now the confusion has increased by like tenfold...! I guess it's not a terrible situation to be in, as things go. I think 2PM has some new stuff coming out soon. With a masculine concept, or so they said on an interview someone at omona posted. It did make me lol, I must confess, though I do remember reading once their "masculinity" is supposed to be one of their points of difference/selling points?
Yeah, roads are fine and stuff! It's just that the driving style is very different from what I'm used to... In America, people are generally quite obedient of the law and of posted road regulations and such; but then American drivers are also, errr, not very attentive? Here it's pretty much the opposite, though. Korean drivers have excellent reflexes and reaction times, but then again it is really necessary because EVERYBODY BREAKS THE LAW ALL THE TIME AHHHH. Like... I was reading this article one time that was debunking Korean stereotypes, and one of them was the "all Asians are bad drivers" stereotypes. On the one hand, I totally agree with the article! Most people here are totally good drivers, and I rarely see accidents. On the other hand, the article explained it in a terrible way. Whoever wrote it (a foreigner) was like, "People are careful, responsible drivers, and I have never seen anything illegal." I was like... girrrllll... where in the heck do you live, because, NO. Like... when I used to live in a big city, the number of

... augh, and then Block B go and make douchetastic(ly translated?) remarks about the floods and Thailand and all I want to do is to facepalm and to RENOUNCE THEM. So, I put B.A.P's mini album in the folder. IT IS SO FULL OF AWESOME. And I am throwing Bang Yong Guk & Zelo's solo single in, too. ASKDJAKLSJDKASD. I shall force my sister to listen to this on the way back to Hamburg.. did a bit of K-pop catching up over the weekend, I CAN'T BELIEVE I MISSED BYG'S debut. "Unbreakable" is my fav so far, but all 3 (well, plus intro) songs are super jammy. You are welcome.
Okay, I just googled their comments, and... auuuggghhhhh... uggghhhhhhhhh. And then I read the post in omono and AUUUGGGHHHHHH. Like I commented earlier, I actually don't stan any of the members or follow their promotions or anything. I was driving with one of my coworkers the other day and we were listening to/talking kpop, and when Block B came up on shuffle I mentioned how with most groups I HAVE to care about the members before I can care about the music, but this was my one exception. ...And now I feel kind of gross for making that exception and not checking out their interviews and videos and such first. Ugh. ALSO, with the huge number of kpop scandals that seem to have cropped up in the last week or two, it has been standing out to me more and more how silly it sometimes is to hand a huge amount of fame and attention to teenagers and then watch them fuck up spectacularly. Ugh. Anyway, judging from comments it seems like some people were upset about Nichkhun's tweet, based on that tweet he had made last year about ~nature's
