Ugh. Post-drama depression. In case you missed the flailing betwixt lalumena and yours truly, I finally managed to watch all of "Dream High." AND EVEN THOUGH I JUST WENT THROUGH BASICALLY AN ENTIRE ROLL OF TOILET PAPER TO MOP UP MY ENDLESS TEARS, IT WAS ALL SO GOOD! ...Except that I am, as usual, an utter failure when it comes to ships. It's downright ( Read more... )

SERIOUSLY SUZY IT WOULD NOT HAVE KILLED YOU TO HAVE PURSED YOUR LIPS A LITTLE, COME ON. Having said that though, I guess I'd almost prefer towards that end of the spectrum of things than "oh hey, we just met, but let's GET. IT. ONNNN."

Is Secret Garden any good? I think I'm going to give Coffee Prince a go, since I hear that's precious, and I liked the 5 minutes of it I saw before my internet crapped out (oh, woe is me, etc etc). ;)

Heh, I know that feeling. It'll happen!

I know, I feel bad being all GIRRRRRL GET INTO IT when she's, uhhh... 16... but still. Man. Highlight for spoilers but now that I have finished the show and am reading through other reactions/reviews I feel like I am the only person who was shipping Hye Mi/Jin Guk -- honestly, I'm as surprised as anybody because I'm not super into Taecyeon and usually in dramas I tend to go more for the adorable mushy secondary lead types like Sam Dong -- but I was waiting a million years for them to kiss and then when it was finally going to be all ROMANTIC on an OVERSEAS TRIP inside of a FERRIS WHEEL FLOATING ABOVE THE CITY, OMG -- and then it was so... like... Suzy, girl, why are you just sitting there doing nothing. Augh. And why do they NEVER EVER TALK ABOUT THE KISS EVER AGAIN AFTER THAT??!? And then when it became clear that Hye Mi/Sam Dong was happening instead, I was like... ooookay, actually did not quite see that coming but whatever they are kind of cute, so just KISS ALREADY -- like the surprise cheek kiss that he gave her after the Dancer ( ... )

Yeah, the way they resolved it...I don't know. I actually liked it? In that everything wasn't perfectly resolved, but that they did end up doing what they were passionate about/believed in? Having said that, it did kind of suck that Hye Mi and Sam Dong admitted their feelings for each other, only to be separated. WHAT UP, TRAGIC ENDING. Overall, I feel like she had a more...balanced relationship with Jin Guk? It wasn't quite clear whether her feelings for Sam Dong were motivated by pity, or whether his issues and distance made her realise her feelings for him? (Having said that, I enjoyed it all anyway...this is just nitpicking ( ... )

Yeah, those are pretty much my feelings... I do like that the show played with some opposites-attract relationships (Jason/Pilsuk, what up. I honestly wasn't sure how I would react to them based on initial BARF DO NOT WANT feelings at the prospect of a girl having to get a super sexy weight loss make-over to land her dream guy but, uhhh, actually they played it in almost all the right ways. Kudos to you, writers!), but the fact that EVERY SINGLE SHIP ended up that way did make it seem excessive by the end. Sometimes I like a ship where they're equally matched, dammit! Ah well.

“Suzy in the spring, Eun Jung in the summer, IU in the fall, and Taecyeon in the winter.”

Aaaaahaha, perfect answer! ♥

Oh, and did you see that Eunjung is going to be on We Got Married? DUDE. LEGIT EXCITEMENT OVER HERE.
