And, hee, don't worry! I have been reading through some of the stuff on your forum and been wowed by some of the discussions going on over there (the whole thread about Stockholm syndrome was especially interesting!). I think I have to wait until I have something intelligent to add, haha -- unfortunately, most of my participation in this fandom is "MMMMM MAZZA IS SO SMOKIN'" or "LOL ROBIN'S HEAD IS NOW SHOPPED ONTO KING KONG." capslock_hood, how you have corrupted me.

I did finally finish up with the reimagined version this week after giving up on it two-thirds of the way through. Damn my inner completist! I wasn't enjoying it like, at all, but I still had the last part on my DVR and thought, well, maybe the end will be awesome and justify it all? And actually... no. The end sucks, too (which is too bad because it was very pretty and had lots of great actors and yet... just... bad!).
Just out of curiosity, have you watched any of the animated Trek? I'm enjoying it so much more than I expected to, and yet it has basically zero fandom presence!
