Obligatory TV update post... Well, early I had smushed my Leverage and Royal Pains thoughts together, so guess what? I'm going to do it again! I am nothing if not a creature of habit.

I understand what you mean about Leverage feeling like it's repeating itself, but I like Christian Kane enough to not care. Frankly I think Sophie and Nathan are the most boring of the characters, which is why I wish they'd focus less on them.

Haha, I'll be honest, Christian Kane's hair is the biggest reason why I've been watching lately (it's so... indescribably magical...). But, yeah, I agree -- I love Parker/Eliot/Hardison as characters and if the show was just them running around having wacky hijinks I'd probably be a lot more into it. ...This probably says horrible things about my taste in narratives. Whatever. I do think Sophie and Nate have interesting arcs sometimes -- I was really impressed last season with that episode where they go undercover at the rehab clinic, for instance -- but right now I'm kind of like ehhh plot of the week ehhh. I mean, I do actually watch a lot of procedurals considering my self-professed distaste for them under normal circumstances, but I think most of them are shows that don't necessarily take the format too seriously (Psych, for instance; or even House, which isn't afraid to completely up-end itself once the format gets boring). I do get that Leverage has found more of its footing now, but then it some ways it almost feels a bit too ( ... )

AHAHAHA YESSSS THIS IS AMAZING. IF YOU DON'T HAVE OTHER PLANS TONIGHT (AND LET'S BE HONEST, WHY ON EARTH WOULD ANYBODY HAVE EXCITING PLANS FOR A SATURDAY NIGHT??!), THERE'S A GROUP REWATCH (ERRR, WE'RE SOMEWHERE AT THE BEGINNING OF S2 -- 2.04, MAYBE? I LEFT EARLY LAST TIME, I'M NOT SURE) CAPSCHAT OVER AIM THIS EVENING.
