I KNOW. Like, I'm listening to it the first time going, "Oh, Darlton, aren't they wacky -- time travel! Take that, all you people who keep whining about how the hatch is too weird. At least we don't have time travel." Ah yes, the good old days when finding a new station was actually an event... now we're like, pssht, whatever, who doesn't have an underground bunker devoted to the pastime of their choosing? And now we even take time travel in stride, too. Frozen donkey wheel? So yesterday. Jumping through decades in a flash of light? No biggie. Encountering future enemies and becoming embroiled in timeline paradoxes by which you unwittingly engineer your own doom? Sure, I can roll with that. I guess I still have to wait for a resolution on the GIANT NUCLEAR EXPLOSION THAT WILL UNSHAKE OUR DESTINIES, but I'm sure I'll learn to love it, too. Lost: constantly raising the bar for our definition of 'mindfuck.'
