I'm not sure why it's taken me this long to decide to watch A2A. I loved Life on Mars to itty bitty pieces (GENE!), but I heard iffy things about A2A, so decided to wait a bit. Is a sequel necessary? And a Sam-less sequel, at that? I'd almost rather leave it at Sam and Gene cruising off into the sunset in the Cortina.

I figured I would give one episode a go and see where things went from there. AND. OH. THE FIRST EPISODE IS LIKE CRACK-COATED GLITTERY AWESOME AND I DON'T KNOW WHEN I HAVE EVER FALLEN FOR A SHOW SO IMMEDIATELY. Usually there's a short waiting period during which I mull over a show’s pros and cons, wonder about its sustainability, speculate about future plots and whether it’s worth sticking through... but I can honestly say that none of that was a concern when I decided to immediately declare this my new BEST ( ... )
