I like my eye doctor. my main problem is I don't like thick frames, but my eye doctor's office has a pretty limited selection, so like 90-95% of the frames were thick.
Luckily, last time I was in, the day after I went in for the eye exam was they day the representative for the ccompany with lots of thin frames was coming in, so I went in the next day and got a pair I loved (and had like. 4 pairs I'd have been happy with).
My biggest problem though was a period of time where I lost two pairs of glasses within 5 months or less. that was bad for my pocket book.
Wow, that would suck to lose so many glasses >.>;. Life is like that sometimes ^^;. If I lose my glasses in Japan, I'll just have to go without, because I'd be too terrified to try and talk to a Japanese optometrist about prescriptions and stuff XD;.
My eye doctor is fairly kewl. He lives near my grandparents, so they know each other pretty well. But the doc says I'm extremely nearsighted, my left eye is lazy, and I'm on the boarder-line of astigmatism in both eyes. And apparently, my eyes are allergic to the plastic contacts are made of, so I'm not supposed to be wearing those anymore. D: So, my eyes are actually... really really really bad. lol My glasses would be really thick, but I get the lightweight lenses... but they're still thick compared to what most people think about glasses. But at least they aren't coke-bottle-bottoms! ^^;;; Well, if not for the lightweight lenses, they would be. >.>;;; Luckily, my insurance from work (one of the few good things about my job) is really great, because my prescription, with the new pair of frames I got, would have been over $500. I paid under $300, thank the unicorns. ^^;;
It's amazing some of the advances in things like eye-glasses... most people don't want to get glasses because they'd be thick or dorky, but they have those super thin lenses now... there's also lenses that are practically indestructible, which is cool...
Wearing glasses isn't the most fun thing, but at least it's more bearable nowadays ^^;.
I'll post pictures of my glasses when I get them ^o^. One of the pairs is really teacher'y (silver frames), but the other pair is bright red ^_^.
I don't really have an eye doctor... just whomever I randomly decide to book an appointment with every few years XD. Does your aunt ever try to force buying additional glasses or extras on you, like so many eye doctors I've gone to do XD?
I'm getting into the mood now? Wait, lemme check... *shuffling noises* No, wait, I'm not. I'M SCARED OUT OF MY MIND. Heleeeeeee~n, I'm soooooooo neeeeeeeervooooous laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaatelyyyyyyyy ;-;. *frivles*

I've been asking my mom to take me to get an eye exam because it's OBVIOUS I have eye problems but she won't because it costs $70. :(

Not really actually. She checks my eyes every year and say "Nah, there's nothing wrong." or "No change." XD
