Oh but you can't forsake worldly possessions! ^___^;; They're too wonderful to give up I'm sure. I just turned in my portfolio too for my creative writing - fiction class. Too bad I have a little over a month to go. *flails* I hope you enjoy your summer. Don't fight too much? ^^;;
About how many pages of writing did you have to turn in for your portfolio o.o? Or do you not have requirements like that when turning it in? I remember in my creative writing class last semester, I was in a huge panic trying to scrape together enough pages, and ended up turning in some of my fanfics XD.
I'll do my best to not fight with my mom ^o^. I love her, but how can I put this nicely... her voice makes me want to claw my face until it's bloody at times? She gets just as annoyed at me for the stuff I don't say, as I get mad at her for the stuff she does say, so I guess it's even XD;.
Actually we have this tacky portfolio contest thing, since the prof said she doesn't want students to panic and make it all pretty. And we just have to turn in all the stories we've written that we've turned in once (which has her comments on them) according to a table of contents that she typed out. Pretty laid-back. ^^ *luffs her prof*

My poetry teacher this semester was pretty awesome-- he's all "just throw whatever you've got into a folder and turn it in, as long as there's at least 8 poems." So I did, and for the first time, I turned in more than the bare minimum required XD.
Actually, my mother is gone on this mother's day (today, I do believe?) ^^;. I did call her and wish her a happy mother's day, though. And got her a gift certificate to a clothing store she liked, and sent it with my dad who went with her, so he could give it to her today. Did you do anything with your mom today ^^?
