He had a frown on his face, which was a cross of feeling extremely tired for having to wake up so early in the morning, and also slightly cranky because they were boarding airplanes like they were taxis these days. They had just returned to Korea less than a day ago, and yet, they were leaving again. He didn't even have the time to pay a visit to his parents.
Just as he was sulking quietly by himself while waiting for the escalator to reach the other end, another frown creased his forehead when he felt an extra weight bearing down on him around his shoulders. He looked to his right to see who was being so clingy with him, only to be greeted with a smile that was as bright as sunshine.
It was blinding.
"Why are you sulking so much today? You're supposed to have a smile on your face, Kui Xian, a smile. I thought that you were really enthusiastic about the fanmeeting yesterday night?" the other man chirruped, causing said male to pout in annoyance.
"The fanmeeting, yes; the process of getting to the fanmeeting, not so," he muttered, pulling off one of his earphones which had the song that he had picked for his solo blasting through it, so that he could hear what the older man was saying. "Also, can't your arm be placed somewhere else? These bags are heavy, and you're weighing me down even more," Kyuhyun whined again.
This time, it was the other man's turn to frown at the maknae. "Fine, if that's what you want, then I'll just keep my arm tucked neatly by my side," he replied, tone thick with disappointment. He never liked it whenever Kyuhyun said things like that.
Much to his surprise, however, Kyuhyun let out an amused chuckle at his words. "What are you talking about, Mi? I said not to put your arms around my shoulder, but I didn't say that you can't hold me anywhere else."
"Then where do you want me to place my arms around?" Zhou Mi queried, glancing Kyuhyun from top to toe in order to find a suitable spot. The latter merely sighed exasperatedly at his denseness.
"Here, let me help you," he stated bluntly, before prying Zhou Mi's arms away from his shoulder and wrapped it around his waist on the older man's behalf. The Chinese man's eyes widened in response, feeling slightly confused about Kyuhyun's actions. He wasn't usually this straightforward, though Zhou Mi couldn't deny that he liked this side of the boy.
Deciding that he didn't want to appear to be so willing, Zhou Mi decided to protest a little. "But now it's my turn to be uncomfortable, Kui Xian. Your bags are digging into my sides."
Nonetheless, the next line that came from the snarky brat effectively made Zhou Mi feel thankful that his arm was anywhere near Kyuhyun's body to begin with.
"Take it or leave it, Mi. That's the only place I can offer you right now."
Perhaps he could get his revenge… later.
