I won some porcelain insulators on ebay! It's very exciting for me, I collect them. They're more fun to find nestled in the grass out in the country, though, than to buy or win in an auction. They're put on overground electrical lines, and when the people come to replace them they just leave them sitting in the grass. I live in the country too, and can never find any! It's so frustrating!

so cool. when i saw these images i thought they were some sort of asian vases! who knew they'd be electrical insulators! fabulous! you never told me of this collection. i'd love to hear more.
