i'm not a fan of Melvin, except when he's dating Megan.

but there's absolutely no way to capture Adam's look in a picture, because it changes constantly. he knows how to put a shirt he's worn often with a different pair of pants or a different hairstyle & make it feel completely new just by the persona he projects. i think his theater training comes into play with that.

No, there isn't a single way to capture Adam in a picture. He's very chameleon. He likes to be what you want to be. He's a people pleaser.

And you are right about winner vs second place... Same thing going on in the swedish version of Idol. :-)
