eBay Wackyness / Grandmother in Town

So almost two weeks ago, I purchased a device on eBay called a Firewire Enclosure. Basically, they're boxes that you hook up to your computer so you can have external DVD burners or hard drives. Being that I have a laptop, my only option for extra storage space is to get enclosures. I bought a new enclosure because the one I've had for my DVD

You're so smart, Adam. You got them to send you a new enclosure and then tweaked the defected one. You're definitely computer savvy!

As for your grandmother..today is Sunday, and I know you must be feeling awkward. Take it a day at a time. Being cordial and polite, while maintaining your distance shouldn't hurt anyone. I hope this helps.
