Why do I always seem to make journal entries at like 1 in the morning? I'm most productive right now, I think it's just that I'm all alone and no one usually bugs me at night. It's nice and quiet and I'm reflective.
Jaci is back! We decided to just drop the whole argument without either side really apologizing or taking responsibility for starting it all. Yea, it means no closure, but I think it'd be worse if we just kept building it up until it ended the friendship. Things still seem a bit tense, but sooner or later I'll make everyone proud of me again and these arguments won't happen.
To that end, everyone gets a little reading to do. Click this link:
Spielberg, Burnett & Fox Team for On the Lot You back? Okay. So early on Friday the 7th, this was announced. A new reality TV show for budding filmmakers! ... Just like me? I got the heads up from my Alaskan buddy, Stephanie, who demanded that I sign up. I got to thinking about it and I realized I might have a shot. I don't have any information on the show (Nor does anyone else) so I don't know if they've already cast or are going to really honestly have some nationwide search.
I should try out. It'd be weird being on reality TV... To be one of those people who talks to the camera confessional between events and reflects on how horrible everyone else is. My problem is that I'd probably be too nice to gripe about people, I'd probably be mad at the equipment first. I'd be all, "The JVC High Def cam just doesn't give me the resolution I want. I need more than 720 horizontal lines regardless of the progressive scan capability. 16:9 aspect ratio? Heck yea. Also, this blasted 72mm 0.7 wide angle lens they forced me to use is far too long. Mechanical vignetting all over the corners. Where's my 0.5? Wait, no, a 0.7 will do, just give me something with a larger intake lens. Plus, this steadycam harness doesn't let me monitor the video as well as I'd like. Just give me the camera and a short monopod attached to some balance weights. Done. And what the heck is up with the DAT recording at 32000MHz? Who authorized that?! Next someone is gonna tell me we've been filming in standard definition using VHS tapes."
... :: shivers :: Yea, sign me up.
