Oregon attempts mandatory GPS car tracking of all autos (please note that in all states there are no laws against police tracking cars by attaching GPS devices to the underside vehicles, and they do not even need a warrant to do it or report if they are doing it and how much)

I have to laugh at the police in England confiscating knives from people. What good does it do to confiscate something that anyone can buy anywhere for cheap? Sure, the thug now is knifeless -- until he goes home to his mom's kitchen. Sigh. There must be some more efficient way to stem knife violence in Britain.

Yep, like decriminalizing knife possession, perhaps!

I think they need to look at why kids are going around stabbing each other and random passerbys on a regular basis.

They aren't stabbing each other on a regular basis. That's the irony of it. Read how despite staticians rebuke of faulty knife statistics, ministers pushed selective, unproven numbers through for political reasons and how statistics were manipulate through mis-categorization.

Violence has been steadily declining in Britain, not rising. It's just spin that lawmakers are seizing upon in order to disarm the population.

I found your journal from another community. I do not know how much I would agree with you on, but that's interesting about how covering your license with tinfoil prevents the RFID code from being transmitted. I haven't really followed everything about RFID, but I just know from the fact that I can't get a cell phone signal or hear my car radio when it is under a metal carport, than putting something metal over something that transmits a signal like that, may prevent it from being transmitted.

I don't like that idea in Oregon either. Oregon is weird though. I think they are one of two states where it is literally illegal to pump your own gas. That's ridiculous.
