J, you'll love this cake. It is so moist.

I received your card and sent out yours with my internationals Monday. I hope it arrives in time. :)

I read Jan's Forbidden Fruit. I want to read more, but she writes so much and so often and RL hasn't allowed me much chance.

Yes, we get Gale. Yahooooooo - I hope I don't forget, because I don't usually watch Grey's. :D

Let me know if your Mum makes this cake.

I think it's a great idea to post our favorite recipes. Batboy posted a soup recipe awhile ago and I've meaning to share a few recipes.
Your cake sounds yummy. I'm going to try it.

I also feel that the holidays sneaked up and smacked me in the head! I did decorate a little bit Dec 1st and today I bought eggnog. I love eggnog in my coffee instead of milk. And, of course, I like eggnog with rum and nutmeg on top.

But you started on Dec. 1! And you have eggnog in your fridge!! And in your coffee!! :)

Things do tend to come together.

I think you'll love the cake. It is one of my favourites of all time. And if you need a lemon bread recipe, let me know. :D

I look forward to baking as soon as the weather gets cooler. I would love your lemon bread recipe. You should post it sometime in your journal.

Well, when I'm done procrastinating about many things, I could post some recipes. :D

Butter Tart Squares; Lemon Bread; Coconut Squares; Paste (fudge recipe from Scotland friends), etc. :)

I gain 10 lbs just thinking about it all. lol

You're very welcome. It's really not a hard recipe to follow and the end result is so scrumptious. I have edited the recipe in case you dare to try. :)

Good luck with gift shopping. Sometimes fun; sometimes frustrating.

Hi J.!!! Maybe you call them bundt pans in Australia? I've taken a picture of my old tube pan and will email it within the next couple of takes.

Plain flour. I think, as opposed to self-raising flour?

300 deg F actually is a low oven, because of the length of baking time. :)

Sounds like a lovely recipe. Unfortunately, whenever I try to make a cake it never makes it to the oven - I eat the mixture!!

I eat the mixture!!

Me too, S. And this batter is most especially delicious, but it's yummy when baked, too.
