Britishness

I still don't have an icon that'd show my Britannophilia. Damn it. I won't call it Anglophilia, 'cause I'm madly in love with Wales too and want to see more of Scotland. I'd use the Union Jack if it included Welshness, but it doesn't... hm, any ideas on what I could include, in a suitably relaxed and humorous fashion? Tea would be a good bet, right ( Read more... )

Well apparently a curry is representative of Britishness according to some rubbish survey that was in the paper.

How about a bunch of chavs drinking cheap cider?

Aieeeeeeeeeeeeeeee:).

In all seriousness, White Lightning is a fucking evil thing. I was completely hooked on it at one point, brrr. The argument for it being marketed specifically for alcoholics is pretty accurate, IMHO.

There's a reason you only get it in three litre bottles nowadays. I used to refuse to stock it when I worked in the off-licence. (But that was mainly due to a chavvy type throwing two bottles of the stuff at m'head).

is the image of an old 2 shilling piece. The design has a rose of England in the Center surrounded by a garland of Leeks (Wales) Thistles (Scotland) and Shamrock (Ireland). It's the nearest thing to a whole Britain Image I can think of But I'm sure there must be other things. I'll keep thinking.

There is also the British Bulldog and Britannia. if you have Britannia looking to your left her outline has a faint resemblance to mainland Britain.

Probably but the bulldog is almost ugly enough to be cute. And You may be able to change the pattern on his coat to a bunch of flower, roses, daffs, thistle and shamrocks? %)
