Well, that was interesting. TMI, but I just bled for thirteen days in a row. And I think it's finally stopped (knock on wood). But, you know, holy hell. Is it acceptable to become a vampire at this point to replenish my blood supply? Any nubile maidens you could throw at me? Some nice bosoms I could sink my fangs into? That sort of thing used to happen to me whenever I came off the pill - as if the menstrual system was reasserting itself with a vengeance after being kept under control for so long. But I presume there isn't an obvious explanation this time.

I know it's just a healing crisis from the car crash that was me trying to come off codeine cold turkey, but it was still disturbing. I've only ever had my period come on violently early when I've been *extremely* ill or literally poisoned by something, and my body's done a big cleanup to eject whatever it thinks has been intruding. The moment I went back on smaller amounts of codeine, my hair also started to come off as I was brushing it, another sign of a healing crisis. However, I saw the gyn yesterday and she said everything looked okay. Apart from the womb lining being a bit too thick for someone who'd just finished her period (I even asked her if that meant not all of it had come out), but she said that was normal for someone with endometriosis and I shouldn't worry about it. Here's hoping next month will go more smoothly.
