Sarah Parcak all the science awards, NOW. Basically, she has discovered 17 new pyramids, over 1000 tombs and 3000 ancient settlements through combining satellite and infrared images. Suck on that, Howard Carter :O

My jaw pretty much dropped at the amount of bling they found in the core sample, knowing how unlikely it is for anyone to ever find anything with random samplings like that. Time Team would be creaming their pants if they got there. ("Ooarrr, thar' be sum foine 'airoglifficks in 'ere, Tony...")

Yeah, the core sample bit was awesome. I can't be the only one who shouted Lord Niiiiiiiiiiiimon at mention of the labyrinth. :)
