How about Nigel Stock for the Brigadier? I remember him as Dr Watson in a 1970s BBC Sherlock Holmes series, and I think that he would be just right.

Apparently there is a rumour that George Lucas has bought the rights to some old (=dead) actors, so that he can CGI them into new films. :)
