I read this this morning and was absolutely chuffed to bits. I'm not exactly what you'd call a huge SJA fan, but I will so watch it for Jo. Because I adore Jo. And Katy Manning, as you've said, is completely cracked in the head, in the best possible way.

Sarah Jane I could care less about, but I so ship Liz/Jo. MILF or not, I'm not fussed.

Ha! Well, SJA is what it is--silly kids' fluff, and nice popcorn telly. And Sarah wsa kind of *the* oldschool companion for me, but Jo and Sarah and Romana I were the ones I really bonded with first, so it'll be great to see at least two of them together.

That is what I hear many people say about Sarah. I haven't seen all that much of her, compared to a lot of other companions, and Four era and his entourage haven't ever quite managed to grow on me. But eh. Personal tastes. I love Jo, and I know she gets a lot of hate from fandom.

And I'm like a typical fanboy in that I *adore* Gothic Tom and Sarah stuff, so what the fuck do I know. But I do think Jo is underrated, because while shie is the blonde bimbo on the surface, she is actually pretty damn compassionate. What makes her great is her huge heart and her childlike innocence. I never really read her as sexy, because I keep seeing this wide-eyed child, and that, thankfully, neutralises the blonde bimbo thing for me. I can't possibly hate her. In general, I think there's a hell of a lot of compassion in the Three era, but that's probably what you get with Buddhist leftie writers, and I find it weird when fandom can't see that either and thinks it's some sort of ode to military right-wing might or something equally mindboggling.

Yeah, I had the same reaction as you and her. Cool photo though! I've actually met Katy Manning too, which is remarkable considering where I live, but she was in a touring DW show that came out here.

The show had Colin Baker, Katy Manning, and Sylvester McCoy and went to Australia as well. I reported on it here. My photos are a bit crap as we weren't allowed to use flash, but I did report some of their anecdotes.

The icon was made for me by shinyjenni in a special cheer-up-Nico comm a few months ago. :-) I also got a Clyde one and a couple of Vilas.

ALSO CLYDE. I wish I'd been on that comm, so I have to apologise again for not joining in. It's just that the people who did it automatically invited people without ever explaining what the comm was, so I rejected the invitation outright because that sort of stuff always freaks me out. But I'm glad the cheerage-uppage worked, because you really deserve it

I have never seen an episode of SJA (too much trouble to dl) but I will make an exception for JOOOOOOOOOOOO even if there is RTD in it. Or if it's too terrible I'll read the fic version.

SJA is honestly better than some of NuWho or Torchwood at times, even though it's super-light popcorn telly. Those kids outsmart Torchwood most of the time and are more likeable. Also, there is Clyde Langer.

Aaand I will hopefully send your package tomorrow. I doodled it full of stix today and sealed it and put your addy on it. I sincerely hope customs won't fuck around with it, because I had great fun doodling on it. There are like nine Masters and eight Tens on it and one you.

Oh dear, that is going to raise some eyebrows at the college post office. The Masters and the me will have to HYPNOTIZE CUSTOMS into letting it through.

There is no breadfucking on the package, but I can't promise the Master isn't leering at the biccies. You'll be getting choccie Digestives and Finnish Jaffa cakes and Finnish chocolate. God, I seriously hope the customs won't do anything stupid to it. I think I left enough space for all the necessary stickers and things. Plus, Iceland is still farting over the world, so I don't know how soon the package will get there. But here's hoping.

Katy is one of those types where I can't tell if she's had work done, or if she's just looking odd as she ages. Because she's always had that huge mouth.

But yes. The ensuing ficpile involving two milfs and a dirty old man with a young face should be interesting. And Katy is dressed like God damn Delgado in that pic.

Yeah, I can't tell either, because she has those crazy cheekbones too. I think she might have had something done at least (both her and Lis have had their teeth whitened at least, but that's very minor).

And YES. Katy looks like a villainess! Maybe the Master planted a time bomb in Jo's brain and she turned evil when she got older.
