Requiem for a Dream is an OUTSTANDING film. But I'm not sure I'd ever want to see it again. Don't watch it when you're feeling glum, put it that way. The soundtrack is awesome, though.

I'd sort of figured that it's the sort that's brilliant *and* emo, so I've been iffy about watching it. Even though it'd probably be an interesting experience, and it'd probably be awesome.

It's rather powerful, yes. I know it might turn some people off since both versions seem to have electronic instruments in there, and/or because it's so shamelessly emotional, but I love it. It's a modern sort of Romanticism, and hits the same buttons in me.

Yes! I get affected the same way, and most of all by orchestral music. The Alan Parson's Project's In the Lap of the Gods totally moves me with its wistfulness, longing, hope, and joyous triumph.

I'd love to know what you think. I don't mind if you don't like it though; music is so subjective.

I'm not in the best mood to appreciate music of any sort right now (just woke up), but I'll check it out properly later.
