Out of curiosity, how many languages do they offer the test in now? I know Idaho only offers English and Spanish and that's been the case for a long time.

I don't think it's deliberately exclusive (I hope not, anyway), I think it's just that those are the two primary languages spoken here and our legislators are laaazzzyyy.

All of the study materials are English, but the written test is offered in American Sign Language, Arabic, Chinese, English, Farsi, French, German, Greek, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Spanish, Thai, and Vietnamese. (We have several foreign auto plants here, plus all of the international students/faculty at our universities.)

It's mainly about hyping up anti-Latin@ sentiment. It won't save any money and may actually lose federal funding for our roads.
