Every time I post on here it is indeed a rant, never often a calm musing...but I don't intend on people really bothering to give a crap, since I don't know many vegetarians myself. A lot of people are don't eat red meat, because they simply dislike it, but do not dislike fish or chicken for example. I don't think they should go calling themselves vegetarians, though, it's just that their diet doesn't have any red meat in it. I know a lot of people who are like this (and do not call themselves vegetarian) without any actual idealism behind it. So it's not always 'I don't eat cute stuff'.
This makes me wonder how my flatmate did in his US tour (they drove from Boston to LA and LA to NY). He's a vegan.

I also get exceptionally teed off with people thinking that (crueltywise) eating poultry and fish is fine - we're overfishing the seas and the amount of waste is criminal. I try to avoid cod where possible.
