I am so far behind in everything that I don't think I'll ever be caught up! But it seemed like the easiest way to update a bunch of friends is right here, because if I try to write this out for each one, it'll take weeks

I am so sorry! They have downsized at my work as well. I am doing the work of 3 people and if I have an issue with it I can quit. I hope that you get one of the two positions. I can see that you love your current location but you can do just as well at a new place. And if not....work until you are eligible for full retirement benefits.

Oh no! That is awful. It's so hard to change jobs, especially from a place you love so much. I'm currently commuting an hour to work as my small town isn't currently hiring in my field, so I commute to a larger city. But keep going - something will work out eventually! Aaannnndddd, if you could update 'Smoky Hills' (unrepentant begging) that would make my day!
