Friday afternoon I blew off a phone call cause I was nekkid, and it turned out to be a friend who could've used a ride to urgent care. I feel bad about that. I got a phone call from my mom about 9pm and it turned out she also needed medical attention. She had the shakes, a lot of pain, some vomiting and looked like a fever. 1) You are the nifty, and we loves you, yes we does.

2) Don't sweat Friday. It was an exploratory call, and I felt guilty about it as I placed it. As nice as the ride would have been, and as welcome as your company would have been, it was fine for me to drive myself, and sit and read my book.

3) Clearly, you know your parents better than anyone else, but if I were in that position, the one your dad is in, and my wife of a bajilion years was lying that seriously ill in hospital, I'd want to know, even if I couldn't do anything about it.

I called my dad and sister yesterday. He knows she's in the hospital, but not in the ICU. The nurse agrees with my mom about not making him come home yet, but says if they have to intubate her, he should figure out a way to get back. I almost called my sister to come out when I saw mom this morning and then realized she was on narcotics and probably not as bad off as it seemed.
