Not only does it cover and do justice to Campbell's astonishing talent as a guitarist but there are some fascinating interviews with the other members of the amazing Wrecking Crew, the crack squad of session musicians who played on well, nearly all records in the sixties ever

I've loved that song for years.

I knew Campbell was suffering from Alzheimers. It's always a pity to hear of it. I also think he was often considered too pop for country stations and too country for pop and somehow missed the heights he might have hit for that reason (and drink, etc.).

One of the things the documentary touched on was how he was quite a big star in the UK and indeed came over here to capitalise on the huge popularity in 70s Britain for Country music. I didn't realise we were seen as such an important and big market! Interesting you reckon his pop roots may have damaged him back in the states - I think here the country acts that had one foot firmly in pop were definitely the biggest stars.
