But I'm into waaaay more than that. Kyuss, Queen, George Jones, Kentucky Headhunters, Skynard, The Doobies, The Doors, Salt N Pepa, Tom T. Hall, Moxy Fruvous, J. Geils, The Stones, The Mamas & The Papas, and even The Inspirations and the Happy Goodman Family.

i guess we need to be 'friends' (I 've trouble with that word, for some reason), to see that post, but it's cool, i get the gist from your list. Kyuss? Wow... That's some deep knowledge right there. Do you like any of the Qo/tStoneAge stuff? Headhunters, Skynyrd, Doobies, et al- yop, yop, yop, yop. Never got a chance to see the Doobies, though; but caught (post-crash) Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet, .38 Special at various gigs. Who are Moxy Fruvious? I just found a lyrics page.... they sound like they 'were' hilarious, and i bet a blast to see live. Are they still together?
(... as a matter of fact, i like beer)

And what would be wrong with being friends? You don't have many. How'd you get so picky?
I've never heard anything by QOTSA, but my guy likes them. He's turned me on to Kyuss, through, I think it was, the Sky Valley album?
I don't know much about Moxy Fruvous either, just have a few songs that have been sent to me. But they're fun as hell, so how could I not like them.
You like beer. But do you smoke "old stogies you have found? Short, but not too big around?" (can't believe I forgot Roger)

My favorite music has always been "oldies" and I pretty much only listen to music in the very background now. The stuff I would listen to, predates '89 and goes back to '55.
Which is why all my musical spoofs and stylings are oldies as well.

I dig a lot of the oldies, too... but this is .....paradoxical. How can one be a both a pop culture fiend (not debating that, mind you ... you are) and yet ".. the stuff I would listen to predates '89....".... Intriguing.
okay, then.. is there one song, any song, that always always always gets a grin?

Somewhere along the way, just lost interest.
And "In the Still of the Night" makes me smile because it's me and the missus' song.
