God this story just breaks my heart. I love it so much and I don't want it to end.... you sure you didn't mis-count again?... maybe there's like geese I don't know... 45 chapters instead of 12?
Awww...sadly I can't break the last one. But I'm so touched that you love this story. I really love it too and I'm so happy that I could share it with all of you.
I was completely fascinated by the parallels between the Chief and Bill in this episode. It was really striking...and yet also very sad. I really think this is where it all truly started sinking in for Bill. And it breaks my heart.
Thank you so much. I wish this story did have an epilogue. But sadly, it ends where it ends. And I think a worth sequel might take me another 15 months...
This may be short, but it's powerful and sweet in a very sad way. The slow unraveling of both characters is at its clearest here in the way that they cling to each other, which lends its own sort of beauty.
LOL, I know right? I've never written a fandom piece this long and the breaking up of the chapters defeated me a tad...
I've always found this scene particularly touching in a strange way as well. Sometimes, in the midst of everything complex, it's the small moments that turn out to be really powerful and full of realization and meaning.
Thank you so much for the lovely and insightful comment.
It may be short but boy does it pack a punch, I think this is my favourite chapter so far. She didn’t need to check the spine to know that it was his favorite.
Bill Adama didn’t do endings. I love love love these lines. God you're breaking my heart with this but I love you for it.

The whole thing when the Chief went off at Joes was awful. I can imagine Bill being upset.
I love how Laura couldn't help herself but went and got him and took him to bed. *sigh*
Are you sure you're not going to write an epilogue or something? I'll be sad tomorrow when this finishes.

And I'm so happy you enjoyed this, terribly short, chapter. I hope you enjoy the conclusion as well.
