I realized yesterday that Kiel's and my loan payments are only $13 less than what I make in a month. Our total bills are twice what I make. Our immediate savings are quickly diminishing. I figure in about two months we'll have to start dipping into our retirement/emergency money ( Read more... )

Yep, I have two. Kiel has a student loan and car loan. There's 0% interest on his car though thankfully and will be paid off in two years. We've been trying to lower the student loan bill since we make little enough money to temporarily make the interest 0% and cut our payments in half. But after giving them several applications they keep saying we haven't turned it in, then lower our credit rating because while an application is in process we can't pay and we're accused of late payments. Oi.
