My first game!fic, and it makes sense it's about Red and Green; they'll always be my favourite protagonist and rival, if only for nostalgic reasons. I hope I did them justice with this piece, both when it comes to their personality and their relationship, the latter of which I find to be quite fascinating.

The apathetic, indifferent Red and the struggling, frustrated Green. ♥ Great job.

I was hoping the tension between the two would come across, in order to show how they've grown apart since childhood, so glad I succeeded in that. (Their whole friendship/rivalry is so bitter-sweet, isn't it? And exactly for that reason, lovely to write about :)

Glad you enjoyed it nonetheless, though! :D And maybe I'll write something lighter for these two, someday. Who knows ;D

I love the sense of tension that carries through the whole fic. The last section in italics is really poetic and beautiful. To be fair, it's not the most creative Red/Green plotline ever, but when you're starting on a pairing I think everyone starts by writing their own take on the old, worn tropes and then branching outwards, so that's not a big deal.
I like how you continuously go back to ideas, especially "nothing" and his family pride. You had some interesting slants on Green and Red that I hadn't considered before, and I enjoyed it.
(Sometimes, he understands. Sometimes, he wishes he were on Mt. Silver too.) Little lines like this made this fic brilliant.
So, in short, this was awesome ♥

The main reason for me for writing this, was that I felt the need to express my thoughts on their characters (and possible pairing); with the result of there being no plotline, but all the more character analysis, haha.
I'm glad, though, that you liked it. I don't know if I'll write more about them (at this point I feel like I've said what I wanted to say, but who knows...) - but maybe it will be more of a regular story then.
For now, though: thanks for the kind words, and taking the time to r&r! :D It's appreciated.
