I'm so in love with Book Depository. And I'm so in hate with the cost of books in Australia. Booko tells me that if I try to buy China Mieville's The City & The City at a book store, the cheapest I can get it is $40.95. Book Depository will send it to me for free for only $27.73. Every book I look up is about $10-20 cheaper there. So of course I' ( Read more... )

I've got a Readings just near me and they are charging $50 for that book!

not Readings' fault -- the local publisher of that book has set a stupidly high price, with seemingly no basis in the reality of exchange rates! It's great, BTW, read it a few weeks ago.
