[Having acquired enough extra income to do so, Kiritsugu decides to visit the hardware store as well.]

[While he'd much favor having the Contender, he decides that this is better than having no weapon at all, considering the circumstances. He considers himself lucky that he was able to get a Smith & Wesson Model 59, which is not unreasonable for the time period, but still somewhat recent.]

[Similarly, he starts walking home, noticeably more at ease, even if not by much.]

They appeared to be walking in the same direction, and when they were well out of earshot of the store, she finally felt it safe to address him.] I wouldn't have thought Mayfield sold firearms, but I am glad they do.

Are you familiar with weaponry?

Somewhat. I know the basics.

Did you receive formal training, then?

[snipingmissy]

Yes. I teach marksmanship to new Cadets occasionally at home, as well.

Impressive. Are you part of a military?

[snipingmissy]

I am.

If you'd like any training, I'd be happy to help. You'll have to provide your own rounds, however. Getting a firearm and clips requires a bit more effort on my part.
