My first attendance at a show at Jaxx was really awesome right up until it wasn't. Going to Paganfest 2008 was a total whim on my part; I'd long wanted to find a good symphonic metal show to attend, and had flirted with the idea of going to ProgPower, but the timing hasn't been right so far. I so wish you could have been there. It was awesome. It is like getting off a roller coaster you were really scared to ride, I want to get right back on and do it again.

Wow, that would've been neat, yah! I'll clearly have to look up Turisas and Eluveitie. (already have some of Tyr's music from Amazon's download section) Thanks for the neat report. :)

BTW, Turisas has four albums in Amazon's DRM-free download area. :) Based on price, two are full albums and two are singles.

Eluveitie has two full albums up. Tyr, I seem to recall had at least 2 full albums if not 3.

Hrm, the search for Eluveitie turned up an album called "Captain Morgan's Revenge" I might have to look at too for fun. :)

Turisas: I already had The Varangian Way and it is very good. A solid 4-star disc. I'll probably end up getting the Eluveitie stuff (I need to check if they have it on emusic first) but I am not sure about Tyr.
