Off-balance is a good word for my mood of late. This weekend was a pleasant one, however, as nothing happening was big or involving me as the driving force. I got through my to-do list like a champ; I even felt good about all my drumming endeavors all weekend. Friday night, in fact, while I was practicing in a t-shirt & boxer briefs assuming no one ( Read more... )

You know, some part of my brain registered that you had purchased a Mazda3 a while back, but I did not fully put it in my memory banks.

I too just got one. Wow so fun to drive! The golf was going to need some massive maintenance soon and had been ridden pretty hard going into DC all of those years. I traded it in for a Phantom Purple Mazda3 five door. Purple! A purple car!

Anyway, I hope you are loving it.

OMG!!! Are you joking??? That is so awesome. Did you get it at Russel on rt 40? I wish I had known so I could have gone and test driven with you. They really are fun to drive while still being entirely practical. I am a walking Mazda ad, so I'm kind of biased. :) And you got the purple!! I am so jealous! I took what I could get color-wise, I got what seemed to be the last 2006 model on the eastern seaboard.

I did go to Russel on route 40. I went to test drive one and then came back the next night after hearing how much it was going to be to fix just one thing on the Golf that needed to be done.

I admit I have always wanted more miles per gallon, but I decided to go for a little fun with my practical small car:) I thought about the Toyota Matrix, but this one was so much more stylish and fun.

I get about 28 MPG consistently. Which really isn't so bad. But yes, you could do better. The Matrix drives like a bus, so you chose wisely. Had you asked me before buying I would have said to go ahead and try driving the Nissan Versa as well, but that would be traitorous. :) Did you get a manual? Was Steve Sherman your sales guy? I had a really good experience with them so far.

Why have we not hung out specifically to talk about tiny houses?!?! I mean, we have, but not lately. :)

I particularly like the aesthetics of this one.

I don't know! I was sitting here thinking it would be more fun to browse these with you! My favorite so far is this one.

No wonder Iceland is inhabited by fairies.

Perhaps if you have a not-so-busy weekend this summer (ha! ha! I know) then we could do a day road trip to look at tiny housen.

If you are on the google calendar, we can compare! I have some of June and lots of July to play with. Also some of August.
