I Don't LIKE Bees! (or: Appropriate Icon is Appropriate)

Last night, after going to the gym and marinading dinner and being otherwise productive, I went out to the balcony to water the plants (this seems silly NOW, with all the rain we're getting, but it had been threatening to rain for days without any payup).  As I soaked the chives, I noticed something dripping off the underside of the balcony railing

Lol! Yes, I epxect Dad's annual warfare (he's losing) to be ramping up again right about now.

It's not really necessary to avoid them. They like to hang out by my parents' gate, and the worst that's happened is that you get beaned in the forehead walking by. They just sound huge when they drone by your ear! I think they tease the cats by hovering outside the playroom window.

I do not want a bee the size of a ping pong ball bouncing off my forehead!!

But I do enjoy watching the cats chatter at prey (I've been thinking of hanging a birdhouse from the vacant plant-hook) and fling themselves into glass.
