I went to bed at some ungodly hour of the morning, so I don't know why I'm awake right now.  As for what kept me up so late...four words:  Nick bought Guitar Hero.

Technically, he and our friend Jason went halfers on it (with Jason paying significantly more than half) for some reason that I'm still a little fuzzy on.  We typically spend our Fridays

Ha ha, even though I had the backstory, I still love the "HOW DID YOU PAY FOR THIS LASERS!" remark.

Also, you mentioned the Metallica expansion - are you a fan?

Lasers are currently his excuse for everything. Lost his keys? HE HAD LASERS SHOT INTO HIS EYES! Hasn't unloaded the dishwasher? LASERS!

I am actually musically illiterate. I grew up overseas, totally out of touch with US culture...and I never really made much effort to get back into it when we moved to the States. I'm familiar with their big radio hits, but I only recognized half of what we unlocked last night.

That, and I now know that their songs are STONE BITCHES on the drums.
