I am concerned for Victor.

The tentative adoption plans fell through (Mike, I'm not at all angry or upset; a pet is a big financial responsibility, and I think you're smart to hold off if you're not sure you can afford it.  A lot of people don't, and that's why I have a job).  I'd planned to take him back on Thursday, as we don't have many kittens ( Read more... )

I'll put out an all staff email at work tomorrow to see if I can't get some interest for him. If I gotta drive up there one weekend to get him (and totally hang out, lol) I will. I want Victor to go to a good home!

Full adoption fee is only 55$? And can someone not from Wake County adopt him incase I get any nibbles?

Hey, I know you guys have been sans-cat since Fluffy...

The adoption fee is usually $100, but I get an employee discount. I offered to adopt him and then have Mike pay me back, and I see no reason why I can't do the same for whomever steps up to take Victor. A lot of us at the shelter do that ^^ Residency isn't an issue. The new owner would only have to call Home Again, the microchip service, to substitute their address for mine.

*blink* Are you online? My AIM keeps saying you're gone!

It's not the right time for us to be taking in a kitten, despite that Vic is the cutest thing ever. We're going to be gone most of December, and that wouldn't be good for him either.

*nods* I'll put all this info into the email tomorrow and see if anyone bites. Mind me posting a couple of the pictures you've got up in your photobucket?

I'm on my way to bed; I've been sore and sleepy all day.

Well, I could always hang on to him until the craziness of the holidays has calmed down a bit. I know a LOT of people are going out of town and don't want to have to send a brand-new pet off to a kennel. I should add that to the post...I can hang on to him as long as needed, I just can't keep him forever. The management would notice. So if you maybe want to take him home with you after Disney...you were thinking of driving back with Spazz and me anyway, right?

Go ahead and link to the photobucket directory if you want ^^ There's nothing bad up there.

Shit, I'd take him in a second if I could.

Good luck finding someone to take him! I'll ask everyone up here if they have friends or distant relations down south, just in case Exie's family cannot!

(Edited because haha, I totally didn't see any other comments on this post when I went to reply.)

Of all the times that I don't have a couple hundred bucks to fly out there and back. Ryan and I want a cat so bad and Victor is so damn cute!

I really wish I could adopt him. I would in a heartbeat.

^__^ Are you guys looking at local shelters? Some places run holiday specials on adoption fees!

Victor's not the most unique looking little dude, but he's got oodles of personality. Nick likes him the best at the moment, because he's been the least destructive of the cats. ^^;
