So! I haven't updated (or commented either, sorry. . . =() for a long time because our modem was broken for like a week! I'm almost caught up on reading everyone's life stories though and I'm sorry I missed them; they are very read-worthy

The lawyer was to get some papers from the CPS that I wasn't sure they were actually going to give me. . . when I called a paralegal they said the only way to be sure to get ANY documents from ANY government agency was to threaten them with a lawsuit, walk in with a court order. . .
But the agency actually had a decent reason for not having them, so I waited the weekend, then they had them on Monday!
That saved me at least three thousand dollars. . . =)
It's nice to be back. I missed my LJ. I'm such a dork.
